I've Found Something: Sudoku with Green Dots

Within the past few weeks, I found the sudoku with the green dots and highlight indicators. It turned out to be Yahoo!'s sudoku game.

Note to self: Put a link to the game

Dead Podcasts Society: Car Wars

So I was looking into Car Wars briefly a short while ago, and I heard that there was a Car Wars podcast. I thought that this would be a good way to learn a bit more about the nature of that game, since I could listen to the podcast while doing something else. Anyway, it looks like the site that originally had the podcast is rather dead, and I can't seem to find it anywhere else. Everywhere else seems to link back to the dead site. So, anyway, if you know where I can find it (like some sort of podcast archive or podcast-sharing system), then post a comment.

Note to self: Edit this later to include links to relevant sites (the dead site that hosted it, the sites that point to it, etc.).

I'm Looking for Something: Sudoku with Green Dots

OK, so at some point I was shown or otherwise just stumbled across a sudoku that had green dot indicators for when one finished a row, column, or box. For rows, the dots would appear on the side, and for columns the dots would appear on the bottom, if I'm remembering it correctly, but maybe on the top. Boxes had green dots appear in one of the outside corners (I forget which). Also, if I'm remembering this right, finished areas had all of the boxes highlighted in green.
Anyway, searches for this have turned up fairly dry (any search that includes "sudoku" (despite what else is included) returns a plethora of irrelevant results, and those that don't turn up results that one would expect from "green" or "green dot"), and I don't remember how I got to it. I liked the interface, though, especially since it helps one to keep track of something without having to just look at the sections of text. So, if you're reading this and know where I can find that, then post a link in the comments. Assistance with this matter will be appreciated.

RPGs for Me to Play

Here's a list of RPGs that I would like to play at some point in the future, generally in the sense that I would like to try them out (in no particular order):
  • The Zantabulous Zorcerer of Zo
  • Spirit of the Century
  • Godlike
  • (Some kind of White Wolf game (World of Darkness (old or new)))
  • Lightspeed
  • Blue Planet
  • Traveler (original)
  • Shadowrun (whichever, but especially earlier forms)
  • All Flesh Must Be Eaten
  • Car Wars (if that even counts as an RPG)
I'll also be adding to this list over time.

Todo Addendum: November 7

One more blog to do:
Centaur or Thri-Kreen?

Remember, Remember, the Date of the Month

I'm sort of hurrying this post along. I remembered a thought that I had before, and realized that, since I have a blog, I should probably put it up while it's still on the day.
I'd just like to point out that the remembering scheme for Guy Fawkes Day is a bit odd. For those who don't know, it goes:
"Remember, remember, the fifth of November."
The problem with this is that the last part - which is what this is used to recall anyway - could be any of several dates in September, November, or December. The "fifth" is not even required to rhyme with anything, so any monosyllabic ordinal will do.

A Warning of Things to Come

I've decided to start a blog. For now, I'm just putting up this post to give this blog a post and to remind myself of posts to make.

Posts to come:
Was Serenity a Nail in Firefly's Coffin?
Dead Podcasts Society: Car Wars
Things of a Literary Nature: Innate Timeline Branching in Fiction

As I think of blog posts to make, but lack the immediate time to make them, I shall post them as a list, to let others know and, moreover, to remind myself.
